Like Jack Johnson said ‘it’s always better when we’re together’. The same can be said for a great marriage it can also be said for a great dress!
I guess you could say starting Avenue Bridal has been a bit of a ‘love child’ for us. Something that we are certainly proud of and that we know is made better for the sheer fact we are doing it together. Inseparable best friends and now business partners, we knew going into business together whilst having it’s risks, also would have great reward.
To give you a brief run down of our ‘Why’, we both felt that when shopping for our perfect bridal gown, we were also seeking our perfect bridal ‘moment’. Whilst this was increasingly difficult during the covid pandemic this wasn’t the only factor that got our minds ticking.
So often the connection a bride desires with a dress, also comes down to the connection formed with the designer or sales assistant and the comfort of the environment. The privacy of our boutique enables our clients to relax in what can often be a stressful and overwhelming experience for some. We create meaningful connections with our Brides and we understand that there is more than just a financial transaction that takes place when purchasing a wedding dress.A welcoming environment with a 1 on 1 personalised appointment means that our brides get both quality time and attention when it comes to picking their dream dress.
We are proud to stock incredible Australian labels at Avenue Bridal. Not only does this mean that the quality of our gowns are second to none, it also enables us to have direct contact with the designers. We love being able to speak directly with those that are responsible for creating such an important garment, that you will cherish for years to come.
Another huge draw card of owning and operating a small business, particularly in the wedding industry is the joy of collaboration. Not only do we work closely with the labels we stock but we also work closely with our wonderful Seamstress and couture wedding dress designer Jillian Franklin. Jillian goes above and beyond for local brides and ensures the perfect fit for the big day.
There is many people that have supported us on our Journey in creating our business, which we are excited to continue growing and evolving. Their passion and expertise istestament to the fabulous people that contribute to this industry and proves that we are most definitely ‘better when we’re together’.
